Luckily, students can achieve every milestone of the journey here at Paragon Flight. We have three locations: Page Field Airport (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL; Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL; and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. These locations enjoy excellent weather for flight training, modern facilities, tower-controlled runways, and non-congested practice airfields.

About P3

The P3 Program at Paragon Flight is our answer to the strong demand for pilots in the industry. We provide zero to professional training in 38 short weeks. Consider the timeline and the credentials earned:

  • Private Pilot License (PPL) – 0-10 WEEKS
    • Foundational step for all future aviation education
    • Develop good habits and best practices
    • Required before continuing to commercial license
  • Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – 11-18 WEEKS
    • Develop skills needed to use navigation and communication systems in aircraft
    • Allows pilots to operate in Instrument Flight Rules when conditions feature low visibility
    • Skills used by commercial pilots routinely
  • Commercial License, Single-Engine and Multi-Engine (CSEL and CMEL) – 19-30 WEEKS
    • Required for acceptance of compensation for flight services
    • Allows pilots to fly single-engine or twin-engine aircraft
    • Focuses on mastering flight skills and maximization of aircraft systems
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – 31-38 WEEKS
    • The final phase of the P3 program
    • Allows commercial pilots to train others
    • An ideal entry point into aviation is mastering skills, sharing a love of flight, accruing flight hours, and making a living.

The program’s intensity requires that we admit a certain caliber of candidates. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, a fluent speaker, reader, and writer of English, and a high school graduate or GED recipient. Your criminal background check, FAA record, and driving record should all be clear, and you should be able to provide a professional and personal character reference. You must also pass a behavioral/cognitive evaluation and obtain an FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate. If you meet these qualifications, have the drive and honesty we’re looking for, and have full-time availability, prepare to attend 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of instruction should you choose to participate in the P3 program.
